It's been a few months, but we're back on the blog beat, so let's get the "Word on the Web" and check out some recent topics of interest and discussion from the tech, literary, library, and arts and entertainment intersections of the World Wide Web that happened in May 2015.

• The original summer blockbuster will be back in the movie-going waters this year as Jaws turns 40 and returns to theaters for another feeding.
   
• As part of City Paper's new "Penn and Ink" weekly comic strip series, behold the Startling Saga of Sun Ra!
   
• In other comics news, Vulture interviews underground comix legend Daniel Clowes. His collected Eightball series will be getting the deluxe, over-sized treatment in early July. While you wait, you can check out past Author Event podcasts with Clowes from our online catalog.
   
• The weather is great so hop on your bike: New bike lanes are coming to Philly!
   
• Technical.ly Philly reports that the City of Philadelphia's innovation team recently hired a new content designer and strategist, Erin Abler. Her first big project will be the ongoing redesign of Phila.gov. You can view the progress on the prototype site and even give feedback on the design.
   
• The lovable, yellow, ghost-gobbling Pac-Man turned 35 this month. Google had the best celebration, with an interactive Google Doodle that allowed you to play the classic arcade game for free online.
   
• WXPN's The Key picks 50 summer jams made by Philadelphians past and present. Once you take a listen, delve into our music catalog or stop by our Music Department @ Parkway Central to discover more great tunes!
   
• Tim Harrington, lead singer of NYC art rockers Les Savy Fav, has written his second children's book, entitled Nose to Toes, You Are Yummy! To quote the author, "This ain't just a readin' book. It is a reading-and-singing-and-dancing-and-cuddling book!" There's lots of fun companion coloring pages and sheet music on the book's website as well.
   
• The American Library Association has just published their newest digital supplement, Digital Futures. The report features articles on how libraries are innovating and leading in the realm of digital content.
   
• USA Today gives their hot picks for summer reads, from Stephen King to Harper Lee to Dr. Seuss, there's something for readers big and small!
