Here are the Top 10 ebooks downloaded from the Free Library's OverDrive Digital Library in September 2014.

More than 61,480 ebooks were checked out and downloaded for the month!

Taking the number one spot this month is Sandra Brown's page-turning thriller Mean Streak. It along with other Mystery and Suspense Thriller genre titles captured the majority of the spots in this month's Top 10.
Other notable mentions include Cloud Atlas author David Mitchell's newest saga The Bone Clocks, another in a seemingly endles amount of Jack Reacher entries (this time a short story prequel to the recently released Personal), and other various titles from the Romance, Historical Fiction, and Fantasy genres.

A genre-bending, fantasy world set in reality that interconnect and weaves storylines and lives. Highly recommended!
4.		Edge of Eternity (historical fiction) by Ken Follett The final entry in the Century Trilogy follows the fortunes of five intertwined families—American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh—as they make their way through major events from the 1960s through the 1980s, including civil rights, assassinations, Vietnam, the Berlin Wall, the Cuban Missile Crisis, presidential impeachment, revolution—and rock and roll. It's like a PBS history special in book form!
5.		The Witch with No Name (fiction, fantasy) by Kim Harrison The 13th and final (ohhh, spooky scary!) book in the Hollows series, monster bounty hunter Rachel Morgan has run up against vampires, werewolves, witches, and demons of all types. 6.		The Long Way Home (fiction, mystery & suspense) by Louise Penny The newest novel in the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series finds our broken inspector has retired and found peace in the village of Three Pines. Of course, he isn't retired for long before he agrees to help a neighbor find her lost artist husband in the wilds of Québec. What the two finally uncover will illustrate how truly far away from home they are.
7.		Mulholland Dive (fiction, crime thriller) by Michael Connelly LA crime stories and pulp fiction collide in three never-before-published short stories including "Cahoots," a backroom poker game turns deadly when a cheater is exposed; "Mulholland Dive," in which a man who deciphers the hidden codes of accident scenes investigates a fatality off L.A.'s most fabled roadway; and  "Two-Bagger," where an obsessed cop tails an ex-con he believes is about to carry out a contract killing.

While hitching a ride with some Canadians who are planning a hike through the dense forests of Maine, Reacher winds up in trouble with military police in a small, seemingly quiet town. You'll of course have to read on to find out how he gets out of this latest predicament!
9.		The Paying Guests (historical fiction, romance) by Sarah Waters A suspenseful novel set in 1920s London full of love affairs and shocking murders. The widow Mrs. Wray and her spinster daughter, Frances, must take in lodgers to their home in order to survive. A modern young couple of the “clerk class” take up residence and shake things up in the Wray's quiet and impoverished lives. Parts love story, period piece, and crime thriller all rolled into one!
10.		Bones Never Lie (fiction, mystery & suspense) by Kathy Reichs The newest psychological mystery novel starring forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan, Bones Never Live is taut with fast-paced action and scare tactic suspense. A child killer that Brennan and her partner failed to catch years earlier is on the loose and up to very bad things. Can Brennan face this awful adversary and her own demons in a race against the clock?
