Here are the Top 10 ebooks downloaded from the Free Library's OverDrive Digital Library in August 2014.

More than 67,000 ebooks were checked out and downloaded for the month!

Taking the number one spot this month is Susan Elizabeth Phillips' feel good Gothic-tinged romance Heroes Are My Weakness. It along with other Romance genre titles captured the majority of the spots in this month's Top 10. Other notable mentions include Amy Bloom's adventurous adolescent trip through the 1940s, Lucky Us, the newest Jack Reacher novel from Lee Child, and other various titles from the Mystery and Suspense Thriller genre.

The following list comprises titles from across all genres, downloaded from both our website and mobile site.

1.		Heroes Are My Weakness (fiction, romance) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips Smalltown New England romance blooms in the middle of a long winter in Susan Elizabeth Philips latest novel. 3.		The Good Girl (fiction, thriller) by Mary Kubica A twist-filled thriller that owes more than a little to the similarly titled novel, Gone Girl. A young art teacher goes home with a stranger from a bar, only to find out later that the man was sent to abduct her. But why and by whom? That's where the mystery begins and it unfurls throughout the book told from four different character's voices in flashback and flash forward timelines. A page turning whodunnit that will have you guessing until the last paragraph.
4.		Between the Plums (fiction, mystery) by Janet Evanovich Janet Evanovich makes it back into our Top 10 with a collection of three of her "Between the Numbers" series: Visions of Sugar Plums, Plum Lovin’ and Plum Lucky. Plucky protagonist Stephanie Plum always seemed to gets involved in wacky hijinks and the holiday themes and supernatural elements mix well with the humorous mysteries that unfold in these stories.
5.		Love Letters (fiction, romance) by Debbie Macomber The latest installment in the "Rose Harbor" series, Love Letters revolves around a familiar cast of characters living in the small coastal town of Cedar Cove. The drama centers on three couples all looking to rekindle their relationships at the Rose Harbor Inn. The intertwining storylines walk the line between realism and escapism, romance and mystery.
6.		Remains of Innocence (fiction, mystery & suspense) by J. A. Jance Book 15 in the Joanna Brady series, J. A. Jance’s brave and resourceful Sheriff must solve two perplexing cases set in the Arizona desert. A murder mystery with strong character development and suspenseful action at every turn. Will Sheriff Brady be able to figure out the bone-chilling connection between the two cases before it is too late?
7.		No Limits (fiction, romance) by Lori Foster Steamy and edgy novel about a mixed martial arts fighter who has come back to town to rekindle a lost love. Past issues arise and threaten to tear the newly reunited couple apart. Will taking their love to the limit be worth the risk?

This time,  the State Department and the CIA come calling as someone is trying to put a bullet in the president's head at the G-8 Summit. Reacher must get pull through the fog of past demons to save the day in this action-packed thriller!
10.		Lucky Us (historical fiction) by Amy Bloom Disappointed by their families, Iris, the hopeful star and Eva the sidekick, journey through 1940s America in search of fame and fortune. Iris’s ambitions take the pair across America in a stolen station wagon, from small-town Ohio to an unexpected and sensuous Hollywood, and to the jazz clubs and golden mansions of Long Island.
