On June 16, James Joyce fans around the world celebrate Bloomsday, which is so named after Leopold Bloom, the main character in Joyce's epic, genre-smashing novel, Ulysses. And we're getting in the fun, too!

All day today, the Free Library and the Rosenbach are hosting public readings of Ulysses--from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Parkway Central Library, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Rittenhouse Square, and from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Rosenbach of the Free Library, 2008-2010 Delancey Place. Join us in fêting Joyce's immortal words as read aloud by some of Philadelphia's most recognizable personalities.
