Tumblebooks – Digital Talking Picture Books for Children – Now Available for iPad and Mobile Devices!

By Jamie W. RSS Wed, October 31, 2012

Last year we introduced a fantastic new service called Tumblebooks, which offers digital talking picture books, read along chapter books, and interactive literacy activities for children.  Tumblebooks is great way to introduce children to digital reading and now, we are pleased to announce, Tumblebooks is fully compatible with iPad and other mobile devices.

Tumblebooks offers a nice, low-key introduction to digital reading.  The animations are not overly busy, the navigation is simple, and the stories are great.  Try Tumblebooks with children who have yet to start reading, with emerging readers, and with early elementary school students.

To get started, visit our Download Media page.  You will also find Tumblebooks listed on our Database page with the Children’s resources.
