2012 marks the 10th anniversary of the Free Library’s One Book, One Philadelphia program. In its 10 years, One Book has made an incredible impact on Philadelphia. Each year, the One Book selection is checked out of the Free Library an average of 3,000 times, and in the 10 years since its inception, it has provided free books to more than 44,000 students in Philadelphia.

The Free Library is incredibly proud of the One Book program. The featured selections over the years have created an impressive legacy—one that continues with Create Dangerously by Edwidge Danticat, the 2012 One Book featured selection. The previous selections include:
