Free Job Hunting and Money Management Workshops at the Free Library of Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA, March 15, 2007 - Thanks to a generous grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, Jobs & Money 101 workshops will be held at all three regional libraries in the Northeast, Northwest, and West and at six branch libraries in North and South Philadelphia this spring. The programs will be held at the Fumo Family, South Philadelphia, and Whitman branches in South Philadelphia, and at the Kensington, Lillian Marrero, and Widener branches in North Philadelphia.
The topics include Job Hunting Tips & Techniques, Résumé Writing, Résumé Critique, Interviewing Skills, Establishing and Maintaining Credit, Identity Theft, and Being Prepared for Homeownership. The money management workshops are conducted by the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Delaware Valley.
These workshops are based on the popular Workplace Wednesdays workshops which have been held at the Central Library since 1987. For more information about any of these workshops, call the Workplace, the Free Library’s job and career information center, at 215-686-5436.
