Entry Level Job Fair at Central Library Presents Opportunities

The Workplace at the Free Library of Philadelphia will hold its 8th annual Entry Level Job Fair. The event will be at the Central Library, 1901 Vine Street, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13. Over 15 local companies will be recruiting for positions in such fields as sales, customer service, clerical, hospitality, home health aid, and more. Representative companies include the Citizen’s Bank, Health Partners, Hertz Car Rental, Holy Redeemer Health System, Pennsylvania State Police, Air Force Reserve, Sunoco Inc., UPS, and the US Army.

Attendees to the Job Fair should obtain tickets by calling the Workplace at 215-686-5436. On the day of the event, attendees should bring copies of their resume and wear business attire.

The Workplace at the Free Library offers adult job seekers and those seeking to change careers information, training, and guidance. Services include public access computers for job searches and resume and cover letter creation; relevant print materials; and librarian run programs for groups, schools, and agencies on topics related to careers and the job search process. The Workplace is also home to Workplace Wednesdays, a series of workshops covering the resume and cover letter writing process, interviewing skills, and more. for workplace Wednesday schedules, call 215-686-5436.
