Partner Experience Coordinator: Full-time Permanent

The Partner Experience Coordinator is a critical member of the Read by 4th team, specifically responsible for providing an array of support to partners as they join and engage with Read by 4th. Competitive candidates will have strong organizational skills, will enjoy getting to know and supporting our partners, and have a passion for supporting early literacy in Philadelphia. This position is full-time, exempt, and will report to the Campaign Director of Read by 4th.

About Read by 4th:

Read by 4th is Philadelphia’s citywide early literacy movement, including an ever-growing coalition of passionate volunteers and organizational partners working to protect every child’s right to read. Our partners work to advance change by connecting families with resources, mobilizing communities, and advocating for just systems that put children on the path to reading success.

The Read by 4th coalition is supported by a small backbone team based at the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation. The role of backbone staff includes convening and aligning partners, gathering and sharing data to inform strategy and continuous learning, communications to share resources and celebrate partners, and other efforts to build an impactful citywide movement.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Coordinate the onboarding process to introduce new partners to Read by 4th, including hosting new partner orientation sessions, supporting partners in completing the annual Partner Agreement, and maintaining the Partner Directory to help partners connect with one another
  • Maintain distribution lists for multiple working groups and committees
  • Support the Campaign Director and Community Engagement Director by ensuring partners are aware of and receive meeting requests for working groups and committees
  • Coordinate special events such as Lunch & Learns
  • Support partner use of parent/caregiver workshops developed by Read by 4th

Data and Reporting:

  • Work with partners to collect data about collective activity
  • Maintain the internal data dashboard, including occasional data tracking and data entry
  • Maintain a quote file to support grant reports and communications efforts

Partnerships and Communications:

  • Support the Director of Communications in collecting stories and content
  • Ensure post-meeting summaries and notes are shared with appropriate partners

Strong candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Track record of staying on top of multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships with a wide array of stakeholders
  • Self-starter who knows when to ask for help
  • Fluency in more than one language a plus, particularly Spanish

Special conditions:

  • This is currently a hybrid position with two days per week in the office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). This policy is subject to change.
  • Occasional travel within the Philadelphia area is required to attend meetings and partner events
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours are required to attend meetings and partner events

The Foundation is instrumental in raising capital funds through private sources for the renovation and improvement of Parkway Central Library and several of the neighborhood libraries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
